We do not collect personal data from app use.
We do not collect personal information, analytics, tracking data or telemetry from app use. You do not need a Psychodeli account. Optional services, including Apple Music and App Store purchases, communicate with their providers as described below. Local settings and saved Looks remain on your device.
The public in-app Apple Music player is macOS only for this release. Public iPhone and iPad builds do not include it; explicit TestFlight player previews are for testing.
When you connect Apple Music, Apple's MusicKit requests media-library permission and uses your Apple Account through Apple's services. Library and catalog requests, search terms, playback requests and an explicit Add to Library action are sent to Apple. Music availability and catalog playback depend on your Apple Music access and, where required, subscription. Psychodeli does not receive your Apple Account password or sell access to Apple Music.
Song information, artwork and a library index may be cached on your device for browsing and playback. Psychodeli does not receive decoded Apple Music audio for analysis and does not download or export Apple Music recordings. Audio reactivity uses the microphone to hear speakers; headphones do not feed the protected stream to the visualizer.
App Store purchases and Restore Purchases also use Apple's services. Apple's handling of those requests is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Some of our apps request microphone access to create audio-reactive visuals. When granted:
On phones and tablets, PsychoDeli+ can read the device's motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) so that tilting the device moves the view. Where you enable it and your headphones support it, the app can also read head-motion data from headphones such as AirPods to react to you nodding along. Motion data is processed on your device in real time, is never recorded or transmitted, and is used only to drive the visuals.
Our Apple TV apps may use Continuity Camera to receive audio from a nearby iPhone. This uses Apple's system-level Continuity framework. The same rules apply: audio is processed on-device, never recorded or transmitted. On tvOS, camera permission is requested solely for Continuity Camera; no video is captured, stored, or transmitted on Apple TV.
On iPhone, iPad, Android and macOS, PsychoDeli+ can optionally use the camera to react to how you move. Where camera color is available, you can also take a color palette from what the camera sees. You choose when the camera turns on; it is off by default and is not required for music playback or microphone listening.
On supported iPhone and iPad models, the iOS app uses Apple's ARKit face tracking (the TrueDepth camera) to read head position and facial expression using depth information. This is "face data" under Apple's rules, so to be explicit:
Some apps offer optional in-app purchases to unlock premium features. These are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Amazon (Amazon Appstore). We do not receive or store any payment information.
Our apps do not knowingly collect any information from children. Our apps contain no user-generated content, no social features, and no advertising.
Our apps contain no advertising or analytics services. Apple's MusicKit and App Store services handle optional music and purchase requests; Amazon's Appstore handles purchases on Fire TV. Platform frameworks and on-device analysis libraries process microphone, camera and motion inputs locally. Those inputs are not sent to Apple Music or to us.
